Classes

A wide variety of classes are offered throughout the year with classes for beginners and experienced quilters and sewers alike. Our more than 50 different classes every semester include hand and machine quilting and piecing, beginning sewing, related classes in surface design and embellishment, Dear Jane, dolls, silk ribbon embroidery, bag-making, crazy quilting, photo transfers, "art quilting", and lots more. "New York Magazine" identified our quilting and sewing classes as the "Best in New York" in its "Best of New York" edition. This link takes you to an extensive gallery of photos from our classes. And current class photos & other class goings on can be found on our City Quilter Facebook page, directly accessible by clicking here.

Our classroom has 12 Bernina 550QE sewing machines, which feature Bernina's patented built-in stitch regulator.  The City Quilter also sells all Bernina sewing machines, feet, accessories and software. There are a wide range of sewing machines ranging from "entry level" to the industry-leading, top of the line 830. Drop by, call or email for more information or to arrange a demo.
Our Bernina web page provides details on the machines and our educational support for Bernina-owners. This link takes you to our Bernina Sewing in New York Facebook page.

FEATURED TEACHER

Our Featured Teacher page, profiles a City Quilter teacher. Our students don't always get the chance to know our teachers' backgrounds, and we felt that this information would be good for students, prospective students and the teachers. Our tenth FEATURED TEACHER, is John Kubiniec . Click the button below to view this new page! Past Featured Teacher profiles can be seen in the FT Archive.
